Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG)

Electrocardiography (ECG/EKG)

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test that checks the electrical activity of your pet’s heart. It can be used to diagnose a number of different conditions, including heart rhythm disorders, heart valve problems and some types of heart muscle disease.

An ECG is one of the most important tests you can have done on your pet, if heart issues are suspected. It will allow us to see if there are any abnormalities in the way their hearts are beating and how fast they are beating, which will help us determine what might be causing their health issues. If your veterinarian feels further testing is required, we can perform Electrocardiography in-house.
